Exegesis of His saying, the Exalted: (O company of jinn and mankind, if you can pass through)
Allah the Exalted said: [Surah al-Rahman: 33] After the warning, He said: If you can pass through from what We intend for you, then pass through, (that you pass through the regions of the heavens and the earth) meaning: from their directions, (then pass through) but you cannot do this, so the command here is for incapacitation,And for this he said: [Surah al-Rahman: 33] meaning: and you have no authority, no one can pass through the regions of the heavens and the earth, where would he go? Nowhere, and it is not possible.
Then he said: [Surah al-Rahman: 34-35] meaning: if you could or if you tried, this would be your reward [Surah al-Rahman: 35] meaning: heated by fire [Surah al-Rahman: 35] meaning: so you will not help one another, and this verse is in the context of a challenge, and whoever claimed that it refers to what scientists have achieved in flight, until they exit the regions of the earth and its gravity, and reach—as they claim—the moon or beyond the moon, has erred greatly; because the verse is clear in being a challenge, and a challenge is addressing those who are unable.
Then we say: Did these people manage to pass through the regions of the heavens? Even if we assume they passed through the regions of the earth, they did not pass through the regions of the heavens, so the verse is clear that it is in the context of a challenge, and that it does not refer to what these people claimed it refers to,And we say: The matter is a reality, we do not deny it, but it does not follow from accepting it that the Qur'an or the Sunnah indicated it, the reality is a reality, so they exited the regions of the earth, but we need evidence, and this reality does not need it.
This verse, in its context, if you reflect on it, you will find that this challenge is on the Day of Resurrection;Because: (Everyone upon it will perish) then He mentioned: (He will be asked by those in the heavens and the earth) then He mentioned: [Surah al-Rahman: 33] then He mentioned what follows it on the Day of Resurrection.
Allah the Exalted said:
O company of jinn and mankind, if you are able to pass beyond the regions of the heavens and the earth, then pass
You will not pass except by authority [from Allah].
لا تَنْفُذُونَ إِلَّا بِسُلْطَانٍThen he said:
(34) So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? (35) There will be sent upon you a
فَبِأَيِّ آلاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ * يُرْسَلُ عَلَيْكُمَا شُوَاظٌThere will be sent upon you a flame of fire and smoke
يُرْسَلُ عَلَيْكُمَا شُوَاظٌ مِنْ نَارٍ وَنُحَاسٌSo you will not be victorious
فَلا تَنْتَصِرَانِThen we say: Did these people manage to pass through the regions of the heavens? Even if we assume they passed through the regions of the earth, they did not pass through the regions of the heavens, so the verse is clear that it is in the context of a challenge, and that it does not refer to what these people claimed it refers to,And we say: The matter is a reality, we do not deny it, but it does not follow from accepting it that the Qur'an or the Sunnah indicated it, the reality is a reality, so they exited the regions of the earth, but we need evidence, and this reality does not need it.
This verse, in its context, if you reflect on it, you will find that this challenge is on the Day of Resurrection;Because: (Everyone upon it will perish) then He mentioned: (He will be asked by those in the heavens and the earth) then He mentioned:
