Question:
Here is a message that reached the program from Libya as well, sent by Sister Aisha from the Libyan Jamahiriya. She says:
She is a Muslim woman, forty-nine years old. I believe in the divine decree and destiny of Allah. I gave birth to six children who went to the mercy of Allah, and I have six living children by the grace of Allah. Praise be to Allah, their illness lasted for two years or more. The doctors did not find anything wrong with them. Now I am considering family planning. Is this permissible for me or not?
May Allah reward you with good.
Answer:
Do not practice family planning if you are able to, and there is no harm on you, so praise be to Allah. Leave matters as they are. Whenever Allah wills, you will become pregnant. Do not take anything that prevents pregnancy.
However, if there is harm due to the inability to provide proper, lawful upbringing, there is no objection to taking some pills that prevent pregnancy in the first and second years; so that you can breastfeed and provide appropriate, lawful upbringing.
But if there is no need for this, leave matters as they are without the need for family planning; because having more children is a great good if Allah rectifies them. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) guided the community to increase their offspring. He said:Sunan al-Bayhaqi 10:869 And children may be a source of great good from Allah, benefiting you and benefiting their father. So do not practice family planning except out of necessity. Yes.
The presenter: May Allah reward you with good.
