What is the ruling on one who pledges allegiance to the leader of one of the Islamic groups?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : What is the ruling on one who pledges allegiance to someone on behalf of a group, and who has not been attested as possessing knowledge? The one to whom the pledge is made appears to be...; I mean, the reality is that the question is not very clear. He says, I mean, what is the ruling on one who pledges allegiance to the leader of a group, I mean, like the groups, for example?

The Shaykh : Yes, yes.

The questioner : The Muslim Brotherhood pledges allegiance to the Guide.

The Shaykh: Yes.

The questioner : And he does not know him sometimes; so what is the ruling on this pledge of allegiance?

The Shaykh : This is also another problem.

The questioner: Yes.

The Shaykh : In any case, the pledge of allegiance in Islam has been practiced by the Muslims for these many years, and they do not know the pledge of allegiance except for the Imam of the Muslims. But, unfortunately, when the parties multiplied and they became sects and factions, they increased in rebellion against Islam by imposing on their followers that they pledge allegiance to their leader, and they established rulings that are not valid except for the Muslim Caliph. And it is amazing that these people follow their desires and take from the rulings of the Shari'ah what suits their methodologies in which they have deviated from the Book and the Sunnah. There is a hadith that says:
When oath of allegiance has been taken for two caliphs, kill the one for whom the oath was taken later. إذا بُويع لخليفتين ؛ فاقتلوا آخرَهما
Sahih Muslim 1853
. As for this hadith, they do not pay attention to it; because its meaning is that everyone who is pledged to, either there is a person who was pledged to first, and he is the most deserving of being pledged to, or the one who came later, and in order to eliminate fitnah (trial, discord or temptation) for the Muslims, they should kill him. So there is no pledge of allegiance in Islam except for one man. And this, with great regret, when the earth was devoid of this in these later times, some people arose wanting to make up for what they missed, but in a way that contradicts the Shari'ah. So it is obligatory for the Muslims not to divide into sects and parties, and if they divide, it is not permissible for them to maintain this division with the color of legislation and permissibility by adopting some rulings. For throwing on this garment that confirms this disagreement means that the Muslims will increase in division upon division, and this is what our Lord (Mighty and Majestic) forbade in His saying (Mighty and Majestic):
and do not be of those who associate others with Allah (32) [Or] of those who have divided their religion and become sects, every faction rejoicing in what it has. ولا تكونوا من المشركين من الذين فرَّقوا دينهم وكانوا شيعًا كل حزب بما لديهم فرحون
[Ar-Rum 30:31-32]
.
Yes.
