What is the standard for the rulings of tajwid?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : Yes; our Shaykh, regarding the standard for the rulings of tajwid? I mean, some of our brothers, some of them have accused all our imams of error in recitation; I mean, among them are Muhammad Musa Nasr, Muhammad Ibrahim Shuqara, Muhammad Khalid Rami, Abu Islam. Of course, I don't know how to read—I mean—I make mistakes when I read... you understand? ... So I said to them, I remember once when we were in Jarash with you, Abu Islam—may Allah reward him with good—asked you about the points of articulation? And you told me: it is like a person saying "a pillar" instead of "pillars," and this is not, I mean, a standard from the Sunnah or something like that for this...?

The Shaykh : Before anything else, I want to direct you back to something I said there, which is: who is this person? Is he a scholar? You say: No.

The questioner : He is certified by some of those whom he criticizes.

The Shaykh : Certified?

The questioner : Certified in recitation by some of those whom he criticizes.

Another questioner : This is, our Shaykh,The Shaykh : Hashim, he is certified, he taught himThe Shaykh : Muhammad Musa Nasr, and he started denying Muhammad Musa Nasr.

The Shaykh : I asked you a question, do not withhold the answer from me; so pay attention.

The questioner: Go ahead.

The Shaykh : This person who is criticizing our brothers, these reciters and experts in tajwid, my question was very simple: Is he a scholar? You did not answer me.

The questioner : No, he is not a scholar.

The Shaykh : Okay, so why is it that whenever someone puts forward an opinion, or a question, or an idea, or so on...
The Shaykh : ...the inexperienced and those who are deluded by themselves, do not pay attention to them, and part of your attention to them is spreading their words.

The questioner: Yes, you are correct.

The Shaykh : And their defective words.

The questioner : Our Shaykh, who brought al-Saqaf to prominence? He has been talked about a lot, so that those who do not know about knowledge, and those who do know about knowledge, are talking about al-Saqaf. Why? Because of the excessive attention given to al-Saqaf. Likewise, many people come out and say a word, and we end up saying it among people, so it becomes a big deal for him; even though the man is known, that is all.

The Shaykh : Since you have raised what you have raised; what is his argument in what he denies?

The questioner : We asked him.

The Shaykh : Answer the question, may Allah guide you, even though we gave you a lesson! Give the answer.

The questioner : His argument is that he prayed behind them and during their prayer he discovered.

The Shaykh : I do not know!

The questioner : I do not understand! I do not want to understand, I do not understand!!

The Shaykh :
and say, "My Lord, increase me in knowledge." وَقُلْ رَبِّ زِدْنِي عِلْمًا
[Taha 20:114]
.
The audience : Amen.

The Shaykh : There is no deity but You, Glory to You, indeed I was among the wrongdoers, Allahu Akbar.
