Calling to Allah requires speaking the truth and bearing the harm that comes with it.

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
al-Eid Abbasi : O brothers, this is a trust, and it is not permissible for us to conceal these errors, these dangers, and these faults any longer. We must make the people see them, even if they become angry or if they do not like this speech. This falls under the category of advice and religion, for advice is the religion, and Muslims advise one another. Allah (Mighty and Majestic) commanded us to enjoin one another with truth. Therefore, we must clarify things to them and say: Your friend is the one who is truthful with you, not the one who is truthful to you. Your friend is the one who makes you cry, not the one who makes you laugh. Friendship and brotherhood do not consist of agreeing with whatever you say, or being polite to you and saying, "May Allah reward you with good, your intention is pure, and there is nothing wrong with it." That is betrayal and deception. A Muslim must be sincere to his brother. Look at the report of Ibn 'Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) when he heard a man sneeze. The other man, who had said to him, "O Abu 'Abd al-Rahman," said:
I love you for the sake of Allah. He said to him: As for me, I hate you for the sake of Allah. He said: Why? He said: Because you make mistakes in the call to prayer and you take a wage for it. إني أحبك في الله قال له: أما أنا فأبغضك في الله، قال لم ؟ قال: لأنك تلحن في أذانك وتأخذ عليه أجرا
I swear by Allah, I mean, perhaps his heart will be broken, perhaps he will become angry, perhaps he will be upset with me. No, the truth is more deserving of being followed, and the religion is advice, even if the people become angry.
