Is it permissible for the khatib to appoint someone else to lead the prayer for the congregation?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : Is it forbidden, O Shaykh, for the khatib to appoint another man to lead the prayer for the congregation?

The Shaykh : I do not know, were you thereThe questioner : A few days ago, and not just you?

The questioner: Yes.

The Shaykh : You, you, I am saying.
The student : We are praying, O Shaykh.

The Shaykh : Yes, but if you allow, a brief word.
The student : Yes.

The Shaykh : I have said many times that we used to see in the capital of Syria, Damascus, a man who was suitable to be a khatib, who could captivate the hearts of the attendees, but he did not recite well. So we saw that this man should deliver the sermon and the reciter should lead the prayer, as he (peace be upon him) said:
The people should be lead by the one who is most well-Versed in recitation of the Book of Allah يؤمُّ القومَ أقرؤهم لكتاب الله
Sunan Ibn Majah 980Sahih (Darussalam)
. But if the khatib has combined his oratory with good recitation, then he should not appoint someone else; because this appointment is mostly for showing off and seeking fame, and not for the sake of Allah (Blessed and Exalted is He). However, if it is to achieve both benefits: the benefit of the khatib’s sermon because he is an eloquent orator, and the benefit of the recitation by the one delegated to lead the prayer because he is the most deserving of people to lead the people, then if it is for this reason, then it is permissible. Please, Professor.

The questioner : O our Shaykh, did you mean by recitation, recitation with tartil (measured recitation), or not?

The Shaykh :
The most proficient among them in the recitation of the Book of Allah أقرؤهم لكتاب الله
.

The Shaykh : The narration that explicitly states that he did not move it is unique to one narrator, and the majority narrated it without the word
He moves it يحرِّكها
. So if you reversed it, you would be correct.

The questioner : ... .

The Shaykh : Okay, what do you mean when you tell me a question...

The questioner : ... .

The Shaykh : You are telling me...

The questioner : ... O Shaykh.

The Shaykh : ... .

The questioner : I am asking you now about the authenticity of:
Do not insult my Companions لا تسبوا أصحابي
.

The Shaykh : Yes.
The student : O our Shaykh, before I forget, the brother Abu Suhayb from Mafraq, and all of us, we are asking you earnestly because it has been two years since they saw you, and they want to see you at a time suitable for you, and it would be nice if it were a full day.

The Shaykh : As you see, I have guests now, so there is no room.
The student : I mean, set a time and they are...

The Shaykh : It is difficult to set a time now.

The questioner : Okay, one question.

Another questioner : I have an important question...
The student : O young men, whoever wants to listen should come, and whoever does not want to should move a bit away from us.
