A brother requested that Shaykh Nasser (may Allah have mercy on him) clarify the fatwa mentioned earlier, and this is the Shaykh’s (may Allah have mercy on him) comment on that.

The questioner : Ah, this is not a question; it is about conveying a trust. One of the brothers told me yesterday while I was on duty at the Islamic Hospital, "I wish you would convey to Shaykh al-Albani that he should clarify his position. He is being attacked by the Constitution newspaper, by the Al-Liwaa newspaper, and by the preachers. He should address the people, and there are many writers in the newspapers, so that he makes his viewpoint clear to the Muslim community so that it is not exploited by the Zionists and by the communist fanatics who write in the Constitution and Al-Ra'i newspapers, and so that they do not trade on this issue at the expense of..."The Shaykh : ...Nasser al-Albani. I told him, "Insha'Allah, I will convey it, and perhaps Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He) will decree what is best."

The Shaykh : All right, you have fulfilled the trust, and may Allah reward you with good. But do you think the problem is one of misunderstanding, or one of ill intent?

The questioner : The problem with them, first of all, is the methodology, and second, they do not want to understand what he wants. The Shaykh : Al-Albani.

The Shaykh : Do they want to understand what al-Albani says about everything, or about this specific issue? This issue actually requires writing a treatise, because whenever he speaks from one side, it opens up another gap from another side.

The questioner : You are correct.

The Shaykh : Therefore, in my opinion, if this were carried out, we would not finish in months. By Allah, I am bent over serving the Sunnah, and this is the ultimate hope: that I die while truly being a servant of the Sunnah. This is what I am most content with for myself, rather than entering into Byzantine discussions and arguments, as they say, that have no end. Allah is the One to be sought for help.

The questioner : O Shaykh, a question about hijrah. Do you think that if there were a division regarding the occupied land itself, where the Muslims keep a part in which they are governed by their Shari'ah and religion, and the Jews take a part, and the Muslims live without torture and without compulsion in their religion, would that be better than their current situation, which they have endured for many years?
