Discussion of hatred, hating Islam and Muslims, and loving the disbelievers.

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : Now, regarding hatred—hating the believers, or hating the religion of Islam, even if a person practices it—this is undoubtedly very serious. In fact, hating the religion of Islam is disbelief, even if a person practices it, due to the saying of Allah the Exalted:
That is because they disliked what Allah revealed, so He rendered worthless their deeds. ذلك بأنهم كرهوا ما أنزل الله فأحبط أعمالهم
[Muhammad 47:9]
And deeds are not nullified except when there is disbelief. The important thing, O brothers, is to watch your hearts. Remove from them envy, hatred, dislike, malice, and grudge, and make them pure in sincerity to Allah in His worship, and pure toward the believers in your dealings with them.
Now, regarding loving the disbelievers, where does that place? In the heart. So, loving the disbelievers may be a cause for a bad ending, because it is a hidden evil. It is obligatory for the Muslim to love the believers and hate the disbelievers, to be loyal to the believers and hostile to the disbelievers. This is the obligation of the believer. If the situation is the opposite, then that is a serious matter, and one fears that a person may be sealed with a bad ending.
