What is the ruling on placing a piece of agate with the deceased in his shroud?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Eid Abbasi : Among the questions here, one related to the topic, the questioner says: Some people place an 'aqiqah (a piece of agate) in the shroud of the deceased and put it with him in the grave; what is its ruling?

The Shaykh : This falls under this category: it is either shirk (associating partners with Allah) or misguidance. This is because it has not been reported in the Sunnah that anything whatsoever is to be placed with the deceased in his shroud or outside his shroud. Therefore, it is shirk or misguidance.
