The Shaykh : For this reason, He said: [At-Talaq 65:1]
These are the limits of Allah: the wife remains in the husband's house, she does not go out, and he does not send her out. These are the limits of Allah. If one transgresses the limits of Allah by sending her out, or if she transgresses the limits of Allah by going out, he has certainly wronged himself, and he will find the punishment on the Day of Resurrection.
Now, what is the wisdom behind this? Allah the Mighty and Majestic explained it:[At-Talaq 65:1] This means that perhaps Allah will cause a leaning toward the wife in the husband's heart, and He will also cause a change in the character of the woman whom he divorced because of her bad character, bringing about a matter where she reconciles with the husband and improves her conduct, and their relationship remains a happy and praiseworthy one, is that not so? And how many women were divorced for their bad behavior and treatment of their husbands, then they repented, improved their conduct, and returned to the morals they should have had. For this reason, He said here: [At-Talaq 65:1]
nor should they [themselves] leave [during that period] unless they are committing a clear immorality. And those are the limits [set by] Allah. And whoever transgresses the limits of Allah has certainly wronged himself
