Is it permissible for a student, if he sees his classmate cheating, to advise him and remind him of Allah, or to inform the proctor about him?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : He says: O esteemed Shaykh, what is the ruling if I stood up in the hall and said to that cheater, "Fear Allah," and frightened him of Allah, or if I informed the proctor about him, or threatened him inside the hall? What is your opinion regarding the aforementioned?

The Shaykh : This is a good opinion, provided that no disorder occurs. For perhaps if you stand up in the hall and say, "O so-and-so, fear Allah," especially in a loud voice, disorder might occur, and the cheating you expect from one person might come from most of those present, because once disorder breaks out, it is impossible to control the hall. So if you fear disorder, do not do it. And as you mentioned at the beginning, you can write a small note and give it to the proctor, and he should fear Allah the Mighty and Majestic in this matter. As for disorder, its harm is greater than its benefit.
