Is it permissible for one who has heard the issue of repentance to make it a means for him to commit sins, because he sees that repentance is easy and that it expiates all sins?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : He says: O esteemed Shaykh, is it permissible for some people, when they hear the issue of repentance, to make it a means for them to commit some of the forbidden things, because they see that repentance is an easy matter? For example, in the case of deception, they see that its matter is easy. So if it is merely a matter of repentance, and he says, "If I repent," is this a justification for him?

The Shaykh : This falls under the category of procrastination and the whispering of Satan, as Allah the Exalted said:
Satan enticed them and prolonged hope for them. الشيطان سول لهم وأملى لهم
[Muhammad 47:25]
So we say to this person who wants to commit the sin and claims that repentance is before him: We say to him, who guarantees that you will repent before you die? Does anyone guarantee that he will be able to repent before he dies? Answer? Answer, O Adam? Answer? No, no, the question is for Adam. What? What do you say in answer to this question? The answer is that no one guarantees that he will be able to repent before death. Perhaps death will come to him while he is still engaged in the sin before he abandons it. So who guarantees it for him? Then, if a person takes the sin lightly, his heart may become crooked, may Allah protect us from that, because Allah the Exalted said:
And when they deviated, Allah caused their hearts to deviate. فلما زاغوا أزاغ الله قلوبهم
[As-Saf 61:5]
and he will not be granted success in repentance. He will try to repent but will not be able to. Then, repentance is not an easy matter. Repentance requires conditions that must be met: that the one who drives him to repentance is sincerity for Allah, and that severe regret and remorse for what happened occur in his heart, and that he abandons the sin, and that he resolves not to return to it. These conditions are necessary, and the repentance must be before death descends upon him. For this reason, we say that no one guarantees that he will repent.

So it is not permissible for a person to say that repentance is easy, and that repentance is simple, and to procrastinate, and to commit the sin. It is obligatory for him to fear the sin as much as he is able. And if it happens that he commits the sin, Allah the Exalted said:
And those who, when they commit an immorality or wrong themselves [by transgression], remember Allah and seek forgiveness for their sins - and who can forgive sins except Allah? - and [who] do not persist in what they have done while they know.
[Ali 'Imran 3:135]
Yes.
