He spoke on the principle: (Attending to the rectification of the outward is a cause for the rectification of the inward).

The Shaykh : The outward appearance is the title of the inward reality; that is, if Muslims become divided in their outward appearance, that becomes a cause and an inducement for them to become divided in their hearts. This is what the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to make explicit when he would stand up for prayer and would not enter into it until he had ordered the straightening of the rows, as is known to everyone. However, few people know what the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to say to the people when he ordered them to straighten the rows. He used to say (peace and blessings be upon him): Sunan Abi Dawud 663Sahih (Al-Albani) This hadith, unfortunately, is from the practical Sunnah of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) in one aspect and the verbal Sunnah in another, because he used to straighten the rows, urge them to pay attention to straightening them, warn them against deviating from this, and inform them that this deviation would be a cause of division between their hearts. Sunan Abi Dawud 663Sahih (Al-Albani) We see today that most of the imams of the mosques—I do not exclude from this the imams of the Sacred Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque, let alone the other mosques—have all neglected paying attention to straightening the rows and warning people against deviating in their straightening. You hardly hear from any of them, even the best of them, saying: "Straighten, straighten. Align to the left and to the right," and that is the end of it. As for the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and his Companions, the Rightly Guided Caliphs after him, they used to pay extreme and very great attention to this. None of them would say the takbir of ihram until he was reassured that the people had responded to the order to straighten the rows. Moreover, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and his Companions after him did not suffice with just the words "Straighten, straighten," nor would he simply say to one, "Move forward," and to another, "Move back." Rather, he (peace and blessings be upon him) and his noble Companions would place before that call incentives and motivators for the people to respond to the Messenger’s (peace and blessings be upon him) call to straighten the rows. In addition to the aforementioned hadith, he used to say (peace and blessings be upon him): Sunan Ibn Majah 993Sahih (Darussalam) And in a narration: , Sunan Ibn Majah 993Sahih (Darussalam) or These are two authentic narrations. His (peace and blessings be upon him) command regarding a matter implies that this matter is obligatory to apply and implement, because Allah (Mighty and Majestic) said regarding His Prophet (peace be upon him): [An-Nisa 4:80] And He said: [An-Nur 24:63] Therefore, one should pay attention to people being aligned in prayer and to them being close together in the scholarly gathering outside of prayer, in response to the command of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). In some of these commands, the reason is given that rectifying the outward appearance is a legal cause for rectifying the inward reality. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) mentioned this meaning in some of the authentic hadiths that you have surely heard many times, but I believe that few scholars remind you of the wisdom mentioned or alluded to in the hadith you have always heard, which is his saying (peace and blessings be upon him): Here is the point: Sahih al-Bukhari 52 If the heart is sound, the body is sound. This is one of the secrets of the Shari'ah that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) drew attention to in this hadith, because he indicates in this hadith and in other hadiths that the outward appearance of the body is connected to its inward reality, which is the heart, and the heart is also connected to the outward appearance of the body. It is as if there is a constant, continuous movement, similar to what we have heard and still hear about them trying to discover what they call "permanent motion." Allah (Blessed and Exalted is He) created this permanent motion in this human being whom He created and made in the best form. That motion is such that if you rectify your heart, it necessitates the rectification of your body, and if you rectify your body, it necessitates the rectification of your heart. Therefore, let no one say, as we often hear from some of the youth who have not been raised with an Islamic upbringing and have neglected many of the legal pillars, such as prayer, when they are told, "My brother, why do you not pray?" they say, "The point is what is in the heart. The point is what is in the heart," as if he is saying, or as if he imagines, that it is possible for the heart to be sound, correct, and healthy while the body does not respond to the legal rulings. This is completely false. We must observe this reality, which is the connection between the outward and the inward, and that the soundness of one means only the soundness of the other, and that the corruption of one means only the corruption of the other. From this, we understand why the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered people to gather and to be united in the scholarly gathering, because this outward, physical unity affects the unity of hearts and the love that must be realized in the heart of every Muslim, as mentioned in many hadiths encouraging love for the sake of Allah and visiting one another for the sake of Allah, which is known to you. My intention is that I wanted to point out this Sunnah, which students of knowledge should not make the scholarly circle large, but rather make it small as much as they are able, so that some of them are close to others, and all of them are also close to the person who takes charge of teaching and guiding them to what benefits them in this world and the Hereafter. After this word, I want to mention, as Allah the Exalted said:
Do not be irregular
Do not be irregular
Straighten your rows.
Make your rows straight, for straightening the rows is part of completing the prayer.
سووا صفوفكم فإن تسوية الصفوف من تمام الصلاةpart of the beauty of the prayer
Make your rows straight, for straightening the rows is part of completing the prayer.
Straightening the rows is part of the perfection of the prayer
He who obeys the Messenger has obeyed Allah
So let those beware who dissent from the Prophet's order, lest fitnah strike them or a painful punishment.
Indeed, the lawful is clear and the forbidden is clear, and between them are matters about which people are doubtful, and many people do not know them. So whoever guards against the doubtful matters has safeguarded his religion and his honor. And indeed, every king has a protected sanctuary, and indeed, the sanctuary of Allah is His forbidden things. And indeed, whoever encroaches upon the sanctuary is likely to fall into it.
Beware! There is a piece of flesh in the body if it becomes good (reformed) the whole body becomes good but if it gets spoilt the whole body gets spoilt and that is the heart.
And the reminder benefits the believers
