A Word on Explaining the Guidance of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) in Reforming Both the Outward and the Inward
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : ... gathering the good of this world and the Hereafter. He did not come only to reform the hearts; he came to reform the hearts, without doubt, as he (peace and blessings be upon him) said in the well-known hadith, the beginning of which is: to its end. At the end, he said: Sahih al-Bukhari 52 So I say: There is no doubt that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) came to reform the hearts, but he did not come only to reform the hearts; he also came to reform the outward appearances. This is because these outward appearances indicate the inward states. Therefore, the scholars say: "The outward is the title of the inward." And the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) said in another hadith, in which he links the deed, which is outward, to the heart, which is inward, and none knows what is in the hearts except Allah (Mighty and Majestic). So he (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) expressed this reality by saying: He looks at your hearts and your deeds.
Indeed, the forbidden is clear and the lawful is clear
إن الحرام بينٌ والحلال بينٌBeware! There is a piece of flesh in the body if it becomes good (reformed) the whole body becomes good but if it gets spoilt the whole body gets spoilt and that is the heart.
ألا وإن في الجسد مضغة إذا صلحت صلح الجسد كله وإذا فسدت فسد الجسد كله ألا وهي القلبIndeed, Allah does not look at your appearances, nor at your wealth, nor at your bodies, but He looks at your hearts and your deeds
إن الله لا ينظر إلى صوركم ولا إلى أموالكم ولا إلى أجسادكم , ولكن ينظر إلى قلوبكم وأعمالكم
