What is the ruling on one who prays while wearing a garment with an image on it, or carrying a wallet containing images?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : As for the person who prays while his clothes have images on them, or a person who carries a wallet containing images, what is the ruling on his prayer?

The Shaykh : I thought you would ask whether it is permissible to carry images? Why would one carry images? This answer is the sibling of that question, the sibling of that question, and the answer is the same answer: why carry images? Then you would come back and say, "Now, I have a passport or an ID with a picture in it." This is different from what you said about having images. We would say there is a necessity involved, and the rule "necessities permit the prohibited" applies. Then we would say, since the image is not visible, it does not harm him. But do not take this answer to permit carrying the images you asked about; that is not permissible. You have received the answer.
