Explanation of the Hadith: (Whoever introduces a good practice in Islam...)

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh :
Whoever introduces a good practice in Islam, he will have the reward of it and the reward of whoever acts in accordance with it until the Day of Resurrection, without anything being deducted from their rewards. من سن في الإسلام سنة حسنة فله أجرها وأجر من عمل بها إلى يوم القيامة دون أن ينقص من أجورهم شيء
.
This is the meaning of the hadith: "Whoever introduces a good practice in Islam." It does not mean "whoever innovates a good innovation in Islam." Rather, the meaning, as I mentioned before citing the hadith, is "whoever revives a practice that was abandoned after me." I would have liked to say, "The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever revives a practice that was abandoned after me," but my knowledge of the weakness of this specific wording for this hadith does not allow me to attribute it to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), especially since the authentic hadith is sufficient for us, making the weak hadith unnecessary.
"Whoever introduces a good practice in Islam" is sufficient for us, making the weak wording "whoever revives a practice in Islam" unnecessary.
I add to the foregoing, so that the word may be comprehensive, if Allah wills, that this practice is often a cause for preventing some souls from harboring what should not be harbored in them, such as hatred, enmity, or envy.
It may happen that more than one noble man gathers in some assemblies, and the server is at a loss as to which of these nobles to start with. Then, as they say today, he relies on Allah and starts with one of them.
He would be making a mistake with regard to the rule of the eldest of the group, especially if the elders include some of the greatest criminals among them. As Muslims are often tested by the presence of some heads of households, who do not know the Sunnah, and may not even know what is forbidden and what is lawful, what is this poor server to do?
This poor server strives, perhaps he is impressed by some of the stars or some of the faces and starts with them. It appears that he has made a mistake and not hit the mark, and a question arises in the minds of some of those who are greater than the one who was started with: Why did he give him precedence over me?
And this happens; I do not say in the minds of these leaders, but similar things may happen in the minds of some who think they are among the scholars, because, unfortunately, every day we see many lessons, and very many indeed, that we never imagined would come from those who are pointed to as being among the scholars.
So when the server starts with his right, the problem is solved, as they say today, automatically, and no one can say why he started, especially if he starts with a boy or a servant, or the like. This is especially evident in the impact of this practice if it becomes widespread.
