How did the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) approve the hand drum on festivals and at weddings, as in the story with Abu Bakr when he said, "The flute of Satan in the house of the Messenger of Allah"?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : Regarding the statement of our master Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him), "Is this a flute in the house of the Messenger of Allah," and then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
Every people have their festival, and this is our festival. إن لكل قوم عيدهم وهذا عيدنا
He meant that the hand drum is permissible on festivals and at weddings. So how did the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) approve a flute from the flutes of the devils?

The Shaykh : He only approved it; he did not listen to the flute... The general rule, as we told you, is... He placed a condition regarding not listening to the dead, just as he placed a condition regarding the flutes of the devils in inappropriate occasions.

The questioner : Yes, yes, exactly.
