His reliance also on the hadith narrated by Muslim: “Indeed, Allah does not look at your appearances and bodies, but rather He looks at your hearts and your deeds.”

The Shaykh : The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) also affirmed this meaning in the hadith narrated by Imam Muslim in his Sahih, in which the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
Indeed, Allah does not look at your appearances, nor at your bodies, nor at your wealth, but rather He looks at your hearts and your deeds. إن الله لا ينظر إلى صوركم و لا إلى أجسادكم و لا إلى أموالكم و لكن ينظر قلوبكم و أعمالكم
Here, the deed is linked to the heart, and the deed, as is clear to you, originates from the body. So he (peace be upon him) said: “Indeed, Allah does not look at these appearances of the body... or of abundant wealth, but rather He looks at the righteous deed and the righteous heart. He looks at your hearts and your deeds. So the place of Allah’s (Mighty and Majestic) gaze is the heart and the body. If it is good, it is good, and if it is evil, it is evil.”
All these hadiths confirm that the Shari'ah commands the rectification of the outward appearance and the heart as well, which is an inward matter. Accordingly... the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) specified a very serious issue, which is that if Muslims differ in their outward appearances, which our Lord (Mighty and Majestic) commands to be on a single wavelength, that leads them to differ in their inward matters and in their hearts.
