Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : What is your opinion of the book "Al-Ruh" by Ibn al-Qayyim? And are the stories he mentioned about the people of the graves authentic?

The Shaykh : The book contains valuable and good discussions, and whoever reads it knows that it is from the words of Ibn al-Qayyim (may Allah have mercy on him). It contains these stories he mentioned from dreams about some of the deceased, so Allah knows best about their authenticity. However, it appears that he (may Allah have mercy on him) was lenient in transmitting them because they soften the heart and cause a person to fear the punishment of the grave and desire the bliss of the grave. The intention is good, and Allah knows best about their authenticity.

The questioner : May Allah reward you with good.
