Is it permissible to mix freely with my husband's brothers, my sisters' husbands, and my aunt's sons?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : The questioner says: Is it permissible for a woman to mix freely with her husband's brothers, her sisters' husbands, and her aunt's sons, or is it not permissible? Specifically, regarding sitting with them and talking to them?

The Shaykh : Is the questioner also a woman?

The questioner : It is a woman.

The Shaykh : The mahram are the only ones with whom a woman is permitted to mix, sit, and converse. As for relatives who are not mahram, it is not permissible for a Muslim woman to mix with them or speak to them. This is because it is among the means and causes that open the door to evil, as was explained in a previous answer to another issue. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) indicated the danger of such mixing when he forbade being alone with a woman. It was said to him (peace be upon him): "What do you say about the in-laws?" He said:
The relative is death الحمو الموت
; meaning, it was asked of him: "What do you say about the relatives of the husband or the wife if a woman is alone with them?" These are relatives; meaning, as people say today—regrettably—if such mixing or seclusion is not condemned, the woman says: "My brother, there is no stranger here; he is my cousin, my maternal cousin, or my maternal aunt's son, and so on." The Messenger (peace be upon him) refutes this claim and says:
The relative is death الحمو الموت
; that is, a woman's mixing with her non-mahram relatives exposes herself to death, a spiritual death.
