The Shaykh mentioned the hadith of Anas narrated by al-Tirmidhi (One of us meets his brother, should he embrace him? He said, No. . . .) the hadith.

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : It also came in the hadith of Anas ibn Malik in Sunan al-Tirmidhi and others. The questioner said, "O Messenger of Allah, when one of us meets his brother, should he embrace him?" He said
No. لا
He said
Should I bow to him أفينحني له
He said
No. لا
He said, "Should he shake his hand?" He said
Yes نعم
Thus, bowing is also like a greeting from a stranger, which is not valid from a Muslim to a Muslim. So that scholar, when he said "And it is the truth that I honor the noble ones", this statement is correct, but his action is not correct, because it is not a prescribed means of honoring the learned man. Therefore, Ibn Battah said to his companion, the poet, and it appears that this companion knew Ibn Battah's opinion precisely, and he also appeared to be a poet by nature and instinct, so immediately and in rhyme he answered him by saying:
"If you are one whom I do not see *** as having a right over me and displaying great respect.
Then you have the merit in precedence and knowledge *** and we do not want restraint from you"
.
The point here is,
"So forgive me from standing up for you first *** then I will reward you by standing up for you.
And I hate that very much *** for it contains flattery and sin.
Do not burden your brother with receiving you in a way *** by which he makes the forbidden permissible.
We are all confident in the love of our brother *** so what is our annoyance and for what"
.
Therefore, it is obligatory for the sincere Muslim callers to return this huge Muslim society to the first era in everything, not only in creed, not only in worship, not and not, but all of Islam, and among that are customs and traditions, we preserve them as we inherited them from our righteous predecessors.
And this is very clear; if the Muslim society today were raised on what the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) raised his Companions on, this standing up would have no place in grammar, as they say. Why? This learned, jurist poet said,
"And if our hearts are sound from us *** we are content with not tiring our bodies.
We are all confident in the love of our brother *** so what is our annoyance and for what"
.
Therefore, we strive with the knowledge we have and cooperate with all our Muslim brothers to return to the guidance of the Messenger (may Allah's prayers and blessings be upon him), for as you have just heard and will hear before every word we say, the best of guidance is the guidance of Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), and the worst of matters are their innovations, and every innovation is a religious innovation, and every religious innovation is misguidance, and every misguidance is in the Fire.
