The Shaykh's remarks on jihad in Afghanistan.

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : As for Afghanistan, everyone knows that the Afghans were on the verge of defeating their communist enemy after a long, protracted jihad of nearly ten years. Some Muslims in various Arab and Islamic countries assisted them, whether that assistance was in person, with money, or with the tongue, as mentioned in the previous hadith. However, it appears that this assistance was not sufficient, as evidenced by the fact that the progress and activity which had filled the hearts of the believers with joy have stalled somewhat due to the reasons you have read in the newspapers and magazines. Therefore, Muslims must reconsider their stance regarding this Afghan jihad and support it with every means that enables them to continue toward victory and to establish the Islamic government in those lands, which they constantly and perpetually speak of. May that be near at hand, and on that day the believers will rejoice in the victory of Allah (Blessed and Exalted is He). This is sufficient for now, and all praise is due to Allah, Lord of the worlds.

The questioner : May Allah reward you with good. May Allah reward our Shaykh with the best reward for what he has presented. We shall now begin with the questions. We ask his permission to start with the questions, as there are a great many questions, brothers in Islam. We will select from them what is of concern to everyone, if Allah wills. Let the one whose question was not answered not be angry with us. May Allah reward you with good.
And if Allah wills, in other opportunities, the Shaykh may address these questions. As for the first question, which is the most prominent of all, its askers express their love for the honorable Shaykh Muhammad Nasir al-Din al-Albani, saying: "O our Shaykh, we love you for the sake of Allah."

The Shaykh : May Allah love you for the sake of which you loved me.
