What are the sound means capable of restoring the glory of the Muslim community in our present time?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : We thank the honorable Shaykh for that wonderful speech, and we begin with the questions.
The first question: What are the peaceful means capable of restoring the glory of the Islamic community in our present time?

Another questioner : Sound.

The questioner : What are the sound means capable of restoring the glory of the Muslim community in our present time?

The Shaykh : In my opinion, what I mention and advise Muslims of constantly and forever is nothing more than what you heard in the speech I narrated to you from the Imam of the City of Migration, even if it needs some detail based on this question. That speech is what he commented on after the noble verse, saying: "The end of this community will not be set right except by what set right its beginning; so whatever was not a religion at that time will not be a religion today." This is the answer, but it needs some detail.
This detail, in my view, is the answer to this question and similar ones: "Purification and Education." Purifying Islam from what has entered it that was not in it during the brightest and purest era, as Malik said: "The end of this community will not be set right except by what its beginning was upon." The early Salaf, which includes the three generations that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) praised with the best of praise in the authentic, indeed mass-transmitted hadith when he said:
The best people are those living in my generation, and then those who will follow them, and then those who will follow the latter خير الناس قرني ، ثم الذين يلونهم ، ثم الذين يلونهم
Sahih al-Bukhari 3651
. People narrate this hadith with the wording:
The best of the generations خير القرون
, and this has no basis in these authentic hadiths, even if the meaning is close, but the narration with the wording:
The best people are those living in my generation, and then those who will follow them, and then those who will follow the latter خير الناس قرني ، ثم الذين يلونهم ، ثم الذين يلونهم
Sahih al-Bukhari 3651
.
I say: It is necessary to have "Purification and Education" based on this purification. You all know a matter shared in knowledge by the scholar and the ignorant; and that is that there are many, and very many, hadiths scattered in the bellies of books, and we hear them on the tongues of preachers, orators, and teachers, which have no basis with the hadith scholars, and they fall under the prohibition of the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) in many hadiths from us speaking about something we do not know its authenticity from him (peace and blessings be upon him); such as his saying:
Whoever narrates a Hadith from me which he knows is a lie, then he is one of the liars. مَن حدَّث بحديث وهو يُرى أنه كذب فهو أحد الكذَّابَين
Jami` at-Tirmidhi 2662Sahih (Darussalam)
. The first liar is the one who fabricated and placed it... and the second liar is this one who spreads it, whether by narrating hadith, preaching, or advising and guiding. So this is the second liar. This is a matter widespread today among Muslims. How can Muslims be in this state, which is one of the states in which they have deviated from what the righteous Salaf were upon? False hadiths have entered among the authentic hadiths, so the truth has been mixed with falsehood, and the tangle has been mixed with the straight; so Muslims today do not live upon purified Islam. Therefore, it is necessary to purify Islam; first from such weak and fabricated hadiths.
Then, who among you is unaware of the multitude of Isra'iliyyat (Jewish and Christian narratives) spread in the bellies of tafsir (exegesis) books?! A few hours ago, a question came to me about what is mentioned in some tafsir books regarding His saying (Blessed and Exalted is He) about Yusuf and the wife of al-'Aziz:
And she certainly determined [to seduce] him, and he would have inclined to her had he not seen the proof of his Lord وَلَقَدْ هَمَّتْ بِهِ وَهَمَّ بِهَا لَوْلَا أَنْ رَأَى بُرْهَانَ رَبِّهِ
[Yusuf 12:24]
; very, very ugly things are mentioned here, and attributed to the infallible Prophet Yusuf (peace be upon him), whom Allah (Mighty and Majestic) protected and praised with the best of praise in the story itself. It is attributed to him what is not permissible to attribute to an ordinary Muslim, that he intended to untie... the clothing. Imagine that his father Ya'qub (peace be upon him) bit his finger, so he left and turned away from the wife of al-'Aziz. Things and things, among which is also that he saw the wife of al-'Aziz, when she intended to do it to him, rush to an idol she worshipped besides Allah, so she threw a curtain over him. He asked her why she did this? She said: So that He would not see us. Then Yusuf (peace be upon him) remembered, they claim, remembered Allah and returned from what he had intended! All of this is scattered in tafsir books, and many of the masses read it as if it came as facts in tafsir books.
Add to that the story of the Shaytan who stole the ring of Sulayman, and this is mentioned in "Tafsir al-Khazin," for example, and its like. These books must also be purified from such Isra'iliyyat, in addition to being purified from the interpretations that came from the later generations of some exegetes, contrary to the interpretation of the righteous Salaf, which was narrated with chains in the reliable books of tafsir, such as "Tafsir Muhammad ibn Jarir al-Tabari," the Hafiz, historian, and hadith scholar, who is one of the Imams of the Salaf in all these sciences, and also Imam Ibn Kathir al-Dimashqi in the famous tafsir by him; where he transmits in the interpretation of verses the narrations that came from the righteous Salaf from the Companions and the Tabi'un. It is also necessary to purify tafsir books from Isra'iliyyat and weak interpretations contrary to what our righteous Salaf were upon. All of this falls under the chapter of purification.
Then what do we say from what I mentioned earlier; that a type of types of tawhid (the oneness of Allah) was turned, due to ignorance, into a type of shirk (associating partners with Allah) and worship of other than Allah? Who among you does not know that there are graves in the lands of Muslims that are circumambulated as the servants of Allah circumambulate the Holy House or the Noble Ka'bah? Who among you does not know that there are graves that are visited with vows to them besides Allah (Blessed and Exalted is He), and visited with slaughter for them besides Allah (Blessed and Exalted is He), and the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) says:
Cursed is he who slaughters for other than Allah ملعونٌ مَن ذبَحَ لغير الله
Musannaf Abd al-Razzaq 17:2483
, in confirmation by him (peace be upon him) of this statement of His saying (Exalted is He) in the Qur'an addressing him:
Say, "Indeed, my prayer, my rites of sacrifice قُلْ إِنَّ صَلَاتِي وَنُسُكِي
[Al-An'am 6:162]
,
and my sacrifice وَنُسُكِي
meaning my sacrifice is for Allah, no partner for Him,
"Indeed, my prayer, my rites of sacrifice, my living and my dying are for Allah, Lord of the worlds. (163) No partner has He قُلْ إِنَّ صَلَاتِي وَنُسُكِي وَمَحْيَايَ وَمَمَاتِي لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ * لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ
[Al-An'am 6:162-163]
What do we count? This is not a place for counting; the important thing is that the indication suffices for much of the expression; it is necessary to purify Islam and return it to what the early Salaf were upon, and with the transmitted phrase in the previous hadith to what the community was upon; where the Messenger (peace be upon him) made holding on to what the community was upon the safety in not being among the seventy-two sects, the third of which is the saved sect.
This is something of what relates to purification, then it must be accompanied by this purification with education from the softness of our nails. We must direct our children to this purified Islam, we raise them upon it, and then the believers will rejoice in the victory of Allah. I am certain and decisive that it is impossible for Allah (Mighty and Majestic) to restore the Muslims except if they return to their religion, as you heard in the authentic hadith, and as you also heard from the saying of Imam Malik: "The end of this community will not be set right except by what set right its beginning."
