Is there a marfu' hadith from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he combined two prayers in the rain?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : Is there a hadith from the Messenger (may Allah's prayer and peace be upon him), marfu' to the Messenger (may Allah's prayer and peace be upon him), that he combined, that he combined two prayers in the rain?

The Shaykh : The same hadith I recited to you indicates the answer to this question; because he said: "without travel or rain"; why did he mention this? Because it is known by the Shari'ah that combining in travel is permissible; and therefore he wanted to alert the listener to his hadith that he (peace be upon him), when he combined, first, was in Madinah, second, was not in a state of travel, and third, was not in a state of rain, so the mention of rain is a very strong alert that combining in the rain is a permissible matter, yes, this is from one side, and from another side, the practice of the Salaf in this combining confirms this meaning; and therefore we always say, forever, alerting and reminding that it is obligatory when we want to derive the Shari'ah rulings to follow what the righteous Salaf were upon; because they were close in time to the Prophethood, so they received Islam fresh and new; so as long as it is established from them that they used to combine, if we do not have a hadith, their action, without being opposed to a hadith, is sufficient for us to be a model.
