Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : The one who sought intercession through the Prophet’s (peace and blessings be upon him) supplication... this matter... and Allah benefited him from it, making him... and it will return to them, meaning one day from the fluctuations... yes, that is right.

The questioner : Quraysh.

The Shaykh : Yes?

The questioner : To Quraysh, it will return to them.

The Shaykh : No... in Quraysh, and it will return to them, meaning... what does it mean... and it will return to Quraysh, it will not become... in the case of the blind man who sought intercession through the Prophet’s (peace and blessings be upon him) supplication for his healing... Abu Ja'far; is he "Isa ibn Abu Isa Mahan Abu Ja'far al-Razi al-Tamimi" as al-Hafiz Ibn Hajar thought in *al-Taqrib*? If so, Ahmad and al-Nasa'i said of him: "He is not strong," and Ibn al-Madini said: "He is trustworthy but he mixed up narrations," and Ibn Hibban said: "He narrates anomalies alone." But if he is "Abu Ja'far al-Madini," he is unknown according to Ibn Majah. He is neither this one nor that one, but rather another man whom al-Hafiz al-Tabarani named in his *Small Encyclopedia* with a name that does not come to my mind now. The hadith of the blind man seeking intercession through the Prophet’s (peace and blessings be upon him) supplication is authentic; because this man, who is Abu Ja'far, is not that weak one nor that unknown one.

Eid Abbasi : Is he "Abu Ja'far al-Khatmi"?

The Shaykh : Yes, that is right, it is the same person.

The questioner : Al-Khatmi.

The Shaykh : Al-Khatmi, but his name does not come to my mind now. Do you know his name? It is Yazid.

Eid Abbasi: Yes.
