Explanation of the invalidity of the hadith: (Were it not for you, were it not for you, I would not have created the heavens)

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : As for the hadith that is also said on this occasion:
Were it not for you, were it not for you, I would not have created the heavens لولاك لولاك ما خلقتُ الأفلاك
; it is also a fabricated hadith. We must remember that the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) is not in need of being praised or eulogized with false words. We know by experience that those who are praised with fabricated words are those who have stripped themselves of all virtue. We observe this among people; when we see a vagabond who has no value in society, and some people around him of his ilk describe him with attributes that have absolutely no basis in the one being described; that is because he is poor, so he needs to boast and appear as if he is rich in some virtues and noble qualities. But since he is barren and has none of those attributes, his hypocritical companions are forced to praise him with what? With what he does not have, with falsehood. As for the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), who is the master of the prophets, as explicitly stated in more than one authentic hadith; he is never in need of our praising him (peace and blessings be upon him) with what he does not have. Rather, I believe that praising him with falsehood is a slight against him (peace be upon him) from these people who praise him with falsehood, if they only knew.
So it is sufficient for us to praise our Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) with what is established in the book of our Lord and the hadiths of our Prophet (may the prayers and peace of Allah be upon him).

The questioner : ... .
