Clarifying the error in what some people who claim affiliation with the Salafi call say that casts doubt on the established schools of jurisprudence.

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : The second point is that we must acknowledge that there are some individuals among those affiliated with the Salafi call who utter words that are sometimes explicit in criticizing the schools of jurisprudence, and sometimes suggestive. We say: this is not permissible in our religion and our belief; because the jurists who exercise independent legal reasoning, as we always and forever affirm, are rewarded, whether they are correct or they err, by the evidence of his saying (peace and blessings be upon him):
When a judge gives a decision having tried his best to decide correctly and is right, he will have a double reward; and when he gives a decision having tried his best to decide correctly and is wrong, he will have a single reward. إذا حَكَمَ الحاكم فاجتهد فأصاب ؛ فله أجران ، وإن أخطأ ؛ فله أجر واحد
Mishkat al-Masabih 3732
; therefore, what we believe is that he is rewarded by Allah (Mighty and Majestic) in every case, no matter what we know of these imams regarding their asceticism, their fear of their Lord, their turning away from this world, and their standing firm for the truth in which they believed. All of this does not allow us, in any way, to disparage them. And I am not bringing you anything new in this statement; so whoever among you wishes to be certain, let him refer to the introduction of "The Description of Prayer," which I have brought with me now; for I may need some texts to confirm what I might say.
So these words that the writer referred to, these words are rejected by their speaker, and it is not permissible to attribute them to the call.
