The Shaykh : And after that, I say that the custom of preachers and guides is, in most cases, if not always and absolutely, that they improvise a sermon or a lesson that benefits the people present. We may follow this path at times, but we see, especially when we come to a town we have not visited before, that it is better to research issues chosen by the people of the town, based on the prevailing proverb that says: "The people of Makkah know its valleys best" "and the owner of the house knows best what is in it". Therefore, we see it wise for the discussion to proceed around the questions or problems that come to the minds of the people of the town, or that are in their lives, so that they may ask about them to clarify the ruling of Allah (Blessed and Exalted is He) in them. And the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) established, following and clarifying the saying of Allah (Blessed and Exalted is He) [An-Nahl 16:43], that it is established for Muslims to ask about matters of their religion. In the hadith narrated by Abu Dawud in his Sunan and others from Jabir ibn 'Abd Allah (may Allah be pleased with him), that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) sent out a raiding party, and one of its members was wounded, then he became feverish. When the news of this reached the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), he said: , because they hastened and issued a ruling for him that there was no dispensation for him to perform dry ablution with clean earth, whereas it was obligatory for them to grant him a dispensation to perform dry ablution with clean earth. And for that reason, he (peace be upon him) said, in the completion of the hadith in some narrations: .
So we follow the example of the verse and the hadith, and we say: Ask about what concerns you, from what you feel more keenly than others. It seems to me that this is better than opening a speech on any of the important topics. Please proceed.
So ask the people of the message if you do not know.
فاسألوا أهل الذكر إن كنتم لا تعلمونThey killed him, may Allah kill them. Did they not ask when they were ignorant? For indeed, the cure for ignorance is asking.
قتلوه قاتلهم الله ألا سألوا حين جهلوا فإنما شفاء العيّ السؤالThey killed him, may Allah kill them.
قتلوه قاتلهم اللهIt is sufficient for him to perform dry ablution with clean earth by striking the ground with his hands.
