Mentioning the evidence from the Qur'an that the speech of Allah (Mighty and Majestic) is real, and that it is heard and read.

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : ... and especially the Noble Qur'an, for this is the speech of Allah. Now, from the reports, what do the verses that speak about ... Allah (Mighty and Majestic) speaking to His servant Musa (peace be upon him), His one who speaks with Him, indicate? He (Mighty and Majestic) said:
And Allah spoke to Musa directly
. One of the effects of divine speech is that it is heard. The evidence is His (Mighty and Majestic) saying regarding Musa (peace and blessings be upon him):
so listen to what is revealed [to you]. (14) Indeed, I am Allah. There is no deity except Me, so worship Me and establish prayer for My remembrance.
[Taha 20:13-14]
. Our Lord said to Musa:
so listen to what is revealed
[Taha 20:13]
. There is no doubt that if one says to a thing that is not heard, "Listen to it," then if I were to remain silent like this and say to you, "Listen," and then remain silent and silent, you would certainly attribute to me either stupidity, negligence, distraction, or some other quality that does not befit a sane person ... So Allah is the most worthy of being described with the highest attributes; it is not permissible to attribute to Him what does not befit the lowest of His creation. Therefore, when He said to His servant Musa:
so listen to what is revealed
[Taha 20:13]
; it means He is telling him: Prepare yourself to listen to what I will address you with.
So the speech of Allah is heard, and the speech of Allah is also read. The conversations that our Lord (Mighty and Majestic) recounts in the Noble Qur'an, from many and very many stories and events, if they were counted, would gather ... a special book. When He (Mighty and Majestic) recounts for us the discussion that took place between Him (Blessed and Exalted is He) and the angels in His saying:
And [mention] when We said to the angels, "Prostrate before Adam"
[Al-Baqarah 2:34]
, and He also recounts that He said:
what prevented you from prostrating to that which I
[Sad 38:75]
. Such conversations make one feel ... and also they responded to Him in some occasions, saying:
Will You place upon it one who causes corruption therein and sheds blood
[Al-Baqarah 2:30]
, and then He said:
Indeed, I know that which you do not know." إِنِّي أَعْلَمُ مَا لَا تَعْلَمُونَ
[Al-Baqarah 2:30]
. There was a dialogue, there was an exchange there, so this ... indicates that the speech of Allah is heard.
Likewise on the Day of Resurrection, when He addresses the Muslim awliya (close friends of Allah) and the righteous at times, and addresses the wicked and the disbelievers at other times, or says, for example:
He will say, "Remain despised therein and do not speak to Me. اخْسَئُوا فِيهَا وَلَا تُكَلِّمُونِ
[Al-Mu'minun 23:108]
. Do you think He is addressing people who do not hear? No, so this is one of the things by which we can understand the speech of Allah (Mighty and Majestic). The summary of this is that the speech of Allah, when Allah speaks to a servant, he hears it; just as we say that the speech of Allah is comprehensible; for what is the meaning, what is the benefit of Allah speaking to one of His servants if He speaks to him with what he does not hear? Just as we say that Allah (Mighty and Majestic) spoke to Musa, He spoke to him with heard speech; it is also necessary that we say: He spoke to him with heard and comprehensible speech. And this ... He speaks to him and he does not hear it, or He speaks to him and he hears it, or He makes him hear it and then he does not understand it.
