The questioner : He said: It is authentic with a chain of narration from Ibn Abbas.

The Shaykh : This statement is not authentic. As the scholars of hadith mention, three narrations were reported from Ibn Abbas: one stating that the Messenger saw his Lord, one stating that he saw his Lord with his heart, and one stating that he saw his Lord with his eyes. Now, will you cool down, people? This is a blow to the heads that will harm you. Therefore, it has not been established from any of the Companions explicitly, with a chain of narration that serves as a proof, that the Messenger (peace be upon him) saw his Lord with his eyes.
