The Shaykh : He said, so the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered us to cover his head and to place on his feet some of the idhkhar. This is the state of one who died without having eaten anything from the reward of his jihad, like Mus'ab ibn Umayr. He said, in the completion of the hadith, "and among us was one whose fruit had ripened, and he was combing it or gathering it and profiting from it." In this is a reference to what was mentioned previously in the preceding hadith regarding the sermon of Ghazwan, 'Utbah ibn Ghazwan, that they had profited from their jihad, so there were many of them who became commanders in the borders of the lands and in many lands. So for such people, their fruit had ripened. As for Mus'ab ibn Umayr, he died a martyr and did not reach that time in which Allah opened up the lands for the Muslims, and many of them harvested the fruits of their previous jihad.
