Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The reader: The author (may Allah have mercy on him) quoted: "From Khubayb ibn al-Urat (may Allah be pleased with him), who said:
We emigrated with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) seeking the Face of Allah the Exalted, so our reward fell to Allah. Among us are those who died without consuming anything of their reward, among them Mus'ab ibn 'Umar (may Allah be pleased with him), who was killed on the Day of Uhud and left behind a cloak. So whenever we covered his head with it, his feet would be exposed, and whenever we covered his feet with it, his head would be exposed. So the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered us to cover his head and place some of the ishdhar plant on his feet. And among us are those whose fruit has ripened, and he is plucking it.
, agreed upon by al-Bukhari and Muslim.
And from Sahl ibn Sa'd al-Sa'idi (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
If the world to Allah was equal to a mosquito's wing, then He would not allow the disbeliever to have a sip of water from it.
Jami` at-Tirmidhi 2320
, al-Tirmidhi narrated it and said: It is a good, authentic hadith.
And from Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say:
The world, with all that it contains, is accursed except for the remembrance of Allah that which pleases Allah; and the religious scholars and seekers of knowledge.
Riyad as-Salihin 1384
, al-Tirmidhi narrated it and said: It is a good hadith.
And from 'Abdullah ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
Do not take to the estate, such that you become desirous of the world.
Jami` at-Tirmidhi 2328Hasan (Darussalam)
, al-Tirmidhi narrated it and said: It is a good hadith"
