What is forbidden for a woman whose husband has died?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : My Shaykh, this is the question I asked you yesterday after the night prayer.

The Shaykh : And what is it?

The questioner : What is forbidden for a woman whose husband has died? Naturally, this is regarding the hadith of Umm Atiyyah, who said:
We were forbidden to mourn for a dead person for more than three days except in the case of a husband for whom mourning was allowed for four months and ten days. (During that time) we were not allowed to put kohl (Antimony eye power) in our eyes or to use perfumes or to put on colored clothes except a dress made of `Asr (a kind of Yemen cloth, very coarse and rough). كنا ننهى أن نحد على ميت فوق ثلاث, إلا على زوج أربعة أشهر وعشرا, ولا نكتحل ، ولا نتطيب ، ولا نلبس ثوبا مصبوغا إلا ثوب عصب
Sahih al-Bukhari 313
.

The Shaykh : Except?

The questioner :
Except a garment of 'asb. إلا ثوب عصب
.

The Shaykh : Yes.

The questioner : Yes, indeed.
But it was permissible for us that when one of us became clean from her menses and took a bath, she could use a piece of a certain kind of incense. And it was forbidden for us to follow funeral processions. وقد رخص لنا عند الطهر إذا اغتسلت إحدانا من محيضها في نبذة من كست أظفار, وكنا ننهى عن اتباع الجنائز
Sahih al-Bukhari 5341
. And it is mentioned in the commentary: Kust and Aza'far are two known types of incense, and it is not intended for perfumery. It was permitted for the woman who bathes from menstruation to remove the bad smell, following the trace of the blood, not for perfumery. Did I answer myself?

The Shaykh : Ah

The questioner : ... One can use something to block the incense...

The Shaykh : It is not known.
Al-Halabi : Well, something comes to my mind now. Is it not said that the issue of intention in this case plays a major role? For example, if a woman did not find anything except some types of perfume, and she wanted to remove the smell of this thing, for instance, then consequently she did not perfume herself, but removed the smell. Is this said?

The Shaykh : It is not said at all. Why? It is permissible for the smell to be strong, such that when she walks, the smell spreads.
Al-Halabi : So it is not permissible in that case.

The Shaykh : And it should not be like that.
Al-Halabi : I mean, if it is a bit narrower, it might be possible.

The Shaykh : We must observe the effect mentioned in that incense. She might perfume herself with a lighter perfume than what we mentioned, but it does not affect the change. Do you understand how?
Al-Halabi : What is its benefit?

The Shaykh : It has no benefit.
