What is the ruling on the supplication of qunut in the Fajr prayer, with clarification?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : What is the ruling on the supplication of qunut in the Fajr prayer? Please inform us of this clearly. May Allah reward you with good.

The Shaykh : The qunut in the Fajr prayer is not a recommended practice, nor is it a recommended practice in the other five obligatory prayers. This is because it is not reported that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to perform qunut in the Fajr prayer every day, nor in any other obligatory prayer. Rather, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) performed qunut in the five prayers due to a specific occurrence, and then he left it off. However, if the imam performs qunut in the Fajr prayer out of following the opinion of some scholars, there is no harm in a person following him and joining him in his qunut, and saying "Ameen" to his supplication, as Imam Ahmad ibn Hanbal (may Allah have mercy on him) mentioned. This is to unite hearts and to avoid division and dispute.
