Which of the two deeds is better: charity for the mujahideen or voluntary Hajj?

The questioner : Well, O Shaykh, which is better: voluntary Hajj or charity for the Afghan mujahideen?

The Shaykh : That varies depending on the person performing the voluntary act. Some souls are rectified by certain acts of worship in a way that other acts do not, or are rectified more by them than by others. If this person feels that spending his wealth on the mujahideen in the path of Allah is purer for his soul, more pleasing to it, and cleaner for it, then that is what he should do. Otherwise, the opposite is closer to the truth.
