What is your comment on the Gulf crisis and seeking the help of disbelievers in it?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : What prevents seeking the support of some enemies who are on our side against our enemy? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), who is the best of creation, sought the help of Mut'im ibn 'Adi when Abu Talib, the Prophet's (peace and blessings be upon him) uncle, died, and he was a disbeliever.

The Shaykh : Here too, because the Messenger (peace be upon him) sought help when he was in a position of strength, whereas your seeking help is in a position of weakness.

The questioner : Likewise, when he needed a guide to show him the way to Medina, he hired a man from among the polytheists.

The Shaykh : The same answer.

The questioner : And another matter: when he needed the Jews after the conquest of Khaybar, he entrusted them with their date palms and crops for a half share, so they would cultivate them for the Muslims. The Muslims were occupied with jihad for the benefit of the Muslims, and the enmity of the Jews toward the Muslims is well known, and so on.

The Shaykh : Today, the situation is completely reversed. The Muslims are occupied with agriculture and herding instead of jihad. There is a vast difference between the evidence and what it points to.

The questioner : And against our enemy. There is no blame on us for seeking his help against our enemy and for our benefit, until Allah delivers us from our enemy. Then our enemy returns to his land. Whoever knows this reality, and knows the state of the oppressor and his injustice, and the great danger to be feared from him, and knows the scriptural evidence, the matter becomes clear to him.

The Shaykh : That is to say, theoretical answers regarding the nature of the calamity that has befallen the Arab and Islamic world.
