Continuation of the explanation of al-Tahawi's statement: "…and interpreting it as Allah the Exalted intended and as He knows everything that has come in authentic hadith from the Messenger

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : After establishing the vision, he said, "Interpreting it as Allah the Exalted intended and as He knows," meaning he is speaking about the reality of the vision, so he does not define it with a limit, but the matter of this reality is left to Allah (Mighty and Majestic). He is the One who knows it, and we are unable to grasp its essence and reality. Then he says, "And everything that has come in authentic hadith from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) is as he said." This is the creed of Imam al-Tahawi, in which he aligns with the people of the Sunnah with extreme clarity, as he takes every authentic hadith between the philosophy of interpretation and the continuous transmission of the restriction. Rather, the authentic hadith is that everything that comes in authentic hadith must be accepted, believed in, and the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) must be believed in what he said, and its meaning is also as intended, meaning as Allah (Blessed and Exalted is He) intended. We do not enter into it by interpreting it as the Mu'tazilah did, with our opinions, or imagining it with our desires… How does one see it? But as Malik said in the well-known report from him: "No one is safe in his religion except the one who submits to Allah (Mighty and Majestic) and His Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him), and refers the knowledge of what is ambiguous to the One who knows it." What is ambiguous to us regarding the vision and the hadiths of the vision? All… the vision and the reality of the vision, not the origin of the vision. So the origin of the vision is not among the ambiguous verses, and likewise all verses and hadiths of the attributes: the hand, the foot, the two hands, and the descent. All these attributes are not among the ambiguous verses, but are among the clear verses. However, the ambiguous aspect of them is their reality and modality. This reality and this modality are what is ambiguous to us, so we refer it to the One who knows it, or the One who knows it, which is Allah.

The questioner : ... .

The Shaykh : (Blessed and Exalted is He).
There is no vision of Allah either, whether you say the vision of Allah is a statement… Allah, because there is no separation between them.
Al-'Ayyad al-'Abassi: Here… the issue of those who say it is limited or unlimited? What is your opinion on this?

The Shaykh : We stop here, page two hundred… Yes.

The questioner : I think there is no… .

The questioner : There is no need… .
Al-'Ayyad al-'Abassi: You also touched on a side, perhaps… the vision… and that it is a statement that Allah is limited or… is that not so? What is your opinion on this?

The Shaykh : What do you want our opinion to be on this? We reject every statement that has not come in the Book and the Sunnah.
Al-'Ayyad al-'Abassi: But isn't its implication correct?

The Shaykh : It is from the established proof in the Shari'ah, but the Asha'irah, glory be to Allah, deviated with a severe deviation, so they denied the Shari'ah reality and the scientific reality together.

The questioner : This is because they took…

The Shaykh : And they began to deny the truth, saying the knife does not cut, the fire does not burn, the water does not drown, and the food does not satisfy. But Allah creates thirst when drinking, satiety when eating, cutting when passing the knife, and burning when lighting the fire. From these denials, they reached the point of denying the letter "ba" of causality, which is mentioned in many Qur'anic verses, let alone the Prophetic hadiths.

The questioner : Well, we are present with the… we cannot descend… this happened.
...

The questioner : I say the fire has the ability to burn; Allah placed in it the ability to burn.
Al-'Ayyad al-'Abassi: Things that distinguish it… .

The questioner : So, so, it is a false statement, it tells you the nature of the statement.

The questioner :
(26) [He is] Knower of the unseen, and He does not disclose His [knowledge of the] unseen to anyone (27) Except whom He has approved of messengers, and indeed, He sends before each messenger and behind him observers عالم الغيب فلا يظهر على غيبه أحدا إلا من ارتضى من رسول
[Al-Jinn 72:26-27]
So the Messenger whom Allah the Exalted reveals regarding the unseen in his life, is it possible that he is revealed after his death as well?
… Is there more?

The Shaykh : I want… No, Abu Muhammad, just as… .

The Shaykh : … And these are the Salaf, he said, "And a group that distinguishes, and they are the followers of the Salaf."
