Discussion of the Jurisprudence of the Hadith of Mu'awiyah ibn al-Hakim (may Allah be pleased with him) (The story of the maidservant whom the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked about the location of Allah)

The Shaykh : I mean, be silent; this is not the place for such talk. He said, "When the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) finished the prayer, he turned to me." Imagine with me his psychological state, this man, and imagine if such an incident happened in the last of times: a man spoke such words in prayer, and the imam came to him. What do you think he would do to him? He would say to him, "O ignorant one, O such-and-such..." and so on. Perhaps this man imagined something of that sort, but he was completely surprised by the opposite. He said, "When the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) finished the prayer, he turned to me. By Allah, he did not humiliate me, nor did he strike me, nor did he curse me, but he only said to me: Riyad as-Salihin 700." He said, "So I said, 'O Messenger of Allah.'" He began asking the Prophet; imagine that this Mu'awiyah ibn al-Hakim al-Sulami, when he saw the Prophetic gentleness and that he did not rebuke him for his ignorance and his speech in prayer, except that he taught him, saying to him, "This action is not permissible in prayer." Look, now a door of gentleness opened before him, and before him was the master of mankind, full of knowledge. So I must learn. He began asking him question after question, asking naturally about whether he felt a need to know the answer. He said, "O Messenger of Allah, among us are people who visit fortune-tellers." He said, . He said, "O Messenger of Allah, among us are people who take omens." He said, . He said, "O Messenger of Allah, among us are people who draw lines in the sand." He (peace and blessings be upon him) said, . This is called by the scholars "hanging on the impossible." The Prophet said in the answer, "There was a prophet among the prophets whose miracle was that he could know some of the unseen through the sand, by Allah. So whoever matches his line, that is his fate." Meaning, who can match this except a prophet, and that one is a prophet. It is called "hanging on the impossible." Sunan Abi Dawud 3909Sahih (Al-Albani) He said, "O Messenger of Allah, and here is the point: I have a maidservant who grazes my sheep at Uhud. One day a wolf pounced on my sheep, and I am a human being who gets angry as humans get angry, so I struck her a blow, and I owe the freeing of a slave." He said, . So he brought her. He (may Allah's prayer and peace be upon him) said, . She said, "In the sky." He said to her, . She said, "You are the Messenger of Allah." He said to her master, . The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) testified to this maidservant who grazes sheep on Mount Uhud that she is a believer because she knew Allah by His supreme attribute, that He is in the sky, and she knew that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah. Today, ask the scholars, "Where is Allah?" You will not know, of course. What is the answer? What is this question? This question is not permissible, and the Prophet is the one who taught us this question, and the answer is in the Noble Qur'an, as the maidservant said: She said: "In the sky." [Al-Mulk 67:16] Do you see that the maidservant today is more knowledgeable than our scholars, except for whom Allah wills, and few are they. And indeed, in that is a reminder for one who has a heart or who lends an ear while being a witness.
