What is the ruling on dissecting a dead body?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : ... Is this permissible ...?

The Shaykh : Dissection, if it concerns the body of a believer, is not permissible; because he (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
Breaking the bone of a deceased believer is like breaking it while he is alive. كسر عظم المؤمن الميِّت ككسره حيًّا
. But if the dissection concerns the body of a non-Muslim, break whatever you wish.

Another questioner : These burial plots belonging to the cemeteries, they sell the bones and this belonging to the dead for the university, I don't know what, or the institutions, what are they called, so that they take the bodies and start dissecting them ... .

The Shaykh: Allahu Akbar.
