Discussion of sincerity and following the Prophet, and that they are the two conditions of righteous deeds.

The Shaykh : As for righteous deeds, we said that beneficial knowledge and righteous deeds are a major and very major issue, because many of the righteous Muslims, in the outward appearance of their deeds, corrupt their deeds by what is settled in their hearts, namely that they do not seek the reward of the Hereafter with their deeds. Allah the Exalted said: [Al-Kahf 18:110] The meaning of this is that any deed must have two conditions. The first condition is that it be in accordance with the Sunnah, and we have finished discussing this, albeit briefly. The second condition is that it be pure for the sake of Allah (Blessed and Exalted is He). This is a long and very long discussion, and I feel that I have taken up a considerable amount of time, so I will now limit myself to one example of what the Islamic world has been afflicted with. This single example encompasses the fact that its practitioners have deviated from righteous deeds with their two conditions, namely that it be in accordance with the Sunnah and that it be pure for the sake of Allah (Blessed and Exalted is He). What is this example?
So whoever would hope for the meeting with his Lord - let him do righteous work and not associate in the worship of his Lord anyone."
