How does a person get rid of usurious money?

The questioner : We hear from you how to get rid of money from the money of others that is halal. The term "public utilities" is used, Shaykh, and sometimes giving charity. What is the criterion for distinguishing between spending in these two areas? Is it said that usurious money is only for public utilities, and otherwise it is given as charity?

The Shaykh : All forbidden money, if a person wants to repent to Allah or get rid of it, he spends it on public utilities, unless that is difficult for him. In that case, the mentioned giving of charity applies.
