Is it permissible to adorn the beard?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : So as for the man who shaves his beard, we are done with him. But as for the man who lets his beard grow, yet he shapes it here and there, this is also not permissible. This action is forbidden. Many of our bearded brothers fall into this violation. Why? Because there is no one to remind them, and there is no one who knows the Shari'ah of Allah, especially this Shari'ah which relies solely on the Book of Allah and the hadith of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and not on hearsay and rumor, as Imam Ibn al-Qayyim al-Jawziyyah (may Allah have mercy on him) indicated in his scholarly poetry when he says:
"Knowledge is: Allah said, His Messenger said, *** The Companions said; it is not deception.
What knowledge has set you up for foolishness in opposing the Messenger and the opinion of a jurist?
No, nor denying the attributes and negating them, out of fear of ta'til (denial of the divine attributes) and tashbih (likening Allah to creation).
Now, when this discussion is raised, we often encounter the claim thatThe Shaykh : So-and-so says that letting the beard grow is a recommended practice (sunnah), and shaving it is disliked (makruh) with a non-prohibitive dislike, and you are being overly strict in this extreme strictness. We say that this is a place of foolishness. You are setting up a shaykh who is not an imam among the imams of the Muslims, not a shaykh who is a novice like in our story, meaning, he tells you, "What is this? It is disliked with a non-prohibitive dislike." The four imams, whom the majority of the people of the Sunnah and the community today claim to follow, are all in agreement that shaving the beard is forbidden. The one who shaves his beard is an open sinner (fasiq) whose testimony is not accepted. So what is the value of this novice like in our story when he says that this is disliked for a non-prohibitive reason? We say, Allah said, and the Messenger of Allah said. What did Allah say, our brothers? Do not forget, Allah said on the tongue of Iblis:
and I will command them so they will change the creation of Allah ولآمرنهم فليغيرن خلق الله
[An-Nisa 4:119]
And the Messenger of Allah said:
Trim the mustaches and let the beards grow. حفوا الشارب ،وأعفوا اللحى
As-Sunan al-Kubra lil-Nasa'i 64:6
Meaning, let it grow without shaving and leave it as Allah the Mighty and Majestic created it, and do not imitate the Jews and the Christians.
