A student’s inquiry regarding weak wordings in the indexes of the Shaykh’s book, *The Chain of Weak Hadiths*

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Al-Halabi : The inquiry, O Shaykh, is regarding the indexes of the authentic hadiths.

The Shaykh : The indexes of the authentic hadiths?
Al-Halabi : The fifth one, which I am currently working on. Regarding the index of weak hadiths, O Shaykh, a hadith may be good due to other supporting narrations. So, in some wordings that you classify as weak, how should one deal with these?

The Shaykh : One that contains weak wordings is included in the weak category.
Al-Halabi : Provided, of course, that it has no corroborating narration.

The Shaykh : Of course, that is a given; yes, and the others as well.
Al-Halabi : But this question, I mean, I wanted to inquire about it.

The Shaykh : May Allah reward you with good.
Al-Halabi : May Allah reward you with good, O Shaykh. And this is Abu Ahmad who wants to speak with you.
Abu Layla: Peace be upon you.

The Shaykh : And upon you be peace, and the mercy of Allah and His blessings.
Abu Layla : We just want to greet you, O Shaykh.

The Shaykh : May Allah reward you with good.
Abu Layla : Peace be upon you, and Allah’s mercy and blessings.

The Shaykh : And upon you be peace, and the mercy of Allah and His blessings.
