The Shaykh : And from his saying (peace be upon him), which is a strange hadith, he said (peace and blessings be upon him): . The scholars say that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) means by this hadith the captives who fall into the hands of the Muslims, who drag them in shackles into the lands of Islam, and there they are distributed according to the Shari'ah division of earnings and war spoils among the victors. They enter the homes of the Muslims, and after being shackled, they become almost free. I say "almost" because, in reality, regarding their freedom of action, and even their remaining on their false religion, they were free, but they remained slaves until Allah (Mighty and Majestic), through what He revealed to His Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) of rulings directed to his followers (peace be upon him), regarding the care and good guardianship of captives and slaves, made these slaves as if they were free. Sufficient for you in this regard is the indication of his saying (peace be upon him): Al-Adab Al-Mufrad 187, to the end of the hadith which I do not recall in its entirety now. The point is that these captives entered a new life, different from the life they lived when they were free. They entered a new life while they were slaves, but in their life, they were better than they were when they were free. This is because they mingled with the Muslims in their homes, in their markets, and in their mosques, so they knew them and knew their morals, and knew the impact of their religion on their upbringing closely and intimately. It became practically clear to them that Islam is the religion of truth, so they believed without compulsion, and they believed with their hearts due to an impulse from their own selves, not like those who believe against their will, either to escape from being killed if they stand before the Islamic call, or to escape from paying the jizyah (tax on protected non-Muslims) with their hands while they are humbled. (Peace be upon you, welcome). As for these, they embraced Islam voluntarily and with sincerity from their hearts, so they entered Islam. There is no doubt that whoever enters Islam enters Paradise in safety. To this reality, if a person wanted to explain it in a simple, expanded explanation, it would be a book. To this reality, he (peace be upon him) pointed with the previous hadith . So the causes that are prescribed lead to Paradise. Among these causes is seeking knowledge, and among the means of seeking knowledge is seeking it in a group. And this group should, as you have known, be close to each other in their bodies, as it is obligatory for them to be close, loving, and affectionate in their hearts.
Indeed, your Lord is amazed at a group of people who are dragged to Paradise in chains.
إن ربك ليعجب من أقوام يجرون إلى الجنة في السلاسلFeed them from what you yourself eat and clothe them from the clothes you yourself wear
