Please explain this hadith to us. May Allah reward you with good.

Answer:
This is an authentic hadith narrated by al-Bukhari in his Sahih from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he said:
All my followers will enter Paradise except those who refuse.كل أمتي يدخلون الجنة، إلا من أبى
Sahih al-Bukhari 7280
It was said: O Messenger of Allah, who will refuse? He said:
Whoever obeys me will enter Paradise, and whoever disobeys me is the one who refuses (to enter it).من أطاعني دخل الجنة، ومن عصاني؛ فقد أبى
Sahih al-Bukhari 7280
This is the explanation of the hadith: Whoever disobeys Him has refused. The one who disobeys the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) and does not follow the Shari'ah means that he is one who refuses; he does not want Paradise. If he wanted it, he would have taken the means to it. So the one who shuns the means and leaves them does not want Paradise.
As for the one who wants Paradise, he is the one who obeys the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him), follows the Shari'ah, submits to the Shari'ah, preserves the religion of Allah, leaves what is forbidden, takes upon himself what is obligatory, and strives in good deeds. This is the one who wants Paradise. Allah (Exalted and Majestic is He) said:
And hasten to forgiveness from your Lord and a garden as wide as the heavens and earth, prepared for the righteousوَسَارِعُوا إِلَى مَغْفِرَةٍ مِنْ رَبِّكُمْ وَجَنَّةٍ عَرْضُهَا السَّمَوَاتُ وَالأَرْضُ أُعِدَّتْ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ ۝
[Ali 'Imran 3:133]
those who spend in ease and hardship, and restrain anger, and pardon people [Al Imran: 133-134], the verse. And He, the Exalted, said:
Race toward forgiveness from your Lord and a Garden whose width is like the width of the heavens and earth, prepared for those who believed in Allah and His messengers. That is the bounty of Allahسَابِقُوا إِلَى مَغْفِرَةٍ مِنْ رَبِّكُمْ وَجَنَّةٍ عَرْضُهَا كَعَرْضِ السَّمَاءِ وَالأَرْضِ أُعِدَّتْ لِلَّذِينَ آمَنُوا بِاللَّهِ وَرُسُلِهِ ذَلِكَ فَضْلُ اللَّهِ
[Al Hadid: 21], the verse.
So the point is: The one who wants Paradise hastens to it, performs its deeds, strives, and fears Allah. As for the one who turns away from it and its deeds and does not care, then in reality he has refused.
Similarly, if one wants dutifulness to parents, if he strives to be kind to them and does his utmost, then he truly wants their dutifulness. If he turns away from that and does not care, then he does not want their dutifulness. He is a liar if he says that he wants their dutifulness. Whoever turns away from that and does nothing, if he says, "I want their dutifulness," he is a liar.
And likewise, if he says, "I want to preserve the prayer in congregation, and I love that," but then he shuns it, turns away, stays in his house, and does not pray with the people; he is a liar in his statement. His action contradicts his statement.
And the point is: Whoever wants good follows its path, and whoever does not follow the path does not want good. We ask Allah for well-being. Yes.

The presenter: O Allah, amen. May Allah reward you with good, and may He do you good.
