What is the meaning of the seven earths?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : He saysThe questioner : We heard about the seven earths, so what are they? May Allah reward you with good.

The Shaykh : We do not know what the seven earths are, because they are among the matters of the unseen, like the seven heavens. We know that there are seven heavens by the report of the Truthful One, and we know that there are seven earths. As for what the reality of these seven heavens is, and what the reality of these seven earths is, Allah knows best. This is the general answer to which every Muslim must arrive. However, I add to this that for any matter of the unseen about which a heavenly report has come, it is not permissible for one who believes in Allah and the Last Day to expand upon such a matter of the unseen with his mind, opinion, or independent legal reasoning. Opinion and independent legal reasoning are only for what concerns the actions, rulings, and conduct of people. As for what concerns the matters of the unseen, which are called today "beyond nature," it is not permissible to delve into them at all, because we were commanded to believe in the unseen in the first chapter of the Qur'an, as you know.

The questioner : Al-Baqarah.

The Shaykh : The Lord of the Worlds said:
This is the Book about which there is no doubt, a guidance for those conscious of Allah - ألم ذلك الكتاب لا ريب فيه هدى للمتقين
[Al-Baqarah 2:2]
Who are they?
who believe in the unseen الذي يؤمنون بالغيب
Then He said:
and establish prayer ويقيمون الصلاة
The first of faith is belief in the unseen, and all the pillars of faith fall under belief in the unseen. And the unseen of the unseen is Allah (Blessed and Exalted is He). We believe in Him and describe Him with what He has described Himself with, (Blessed and Exalted is He), and we purify Him from what the scholars of tawhid (the oneness of Allah) refer to. We purify Him from likening Allah to creation and from denial of the divine attributes. We describe Him with what He has described Himself with and we do not add anything to that at all, in belief in what our Lord (Mighty and Majestic) informed us of in the Qur'an, and also our Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) in what is authentic of the hadith about him. So for every matter of the unseen, we stop at the hadith and do not add to it. As for the seven earths, we do not know if they are, for example, the seven planets? Allah knows best.
We believe that there are seven earths and we stop from delving into the details. Yes.
