What is the ruling on working in a company that manufactures plastic toys in the shape of animals?

The questioner : May Allah reward you: What is the ruling on working in a company that manufactures plastic toys in the shape of animals?

The Shaykh : The answer to this has already been given, may Allah reward you. Do not ask repeated questions; the wording changes, but the meaning remains the same. This question and the one just before it both conflict with the noble verse: It is not permissible to manufacture these dolls and children's toys except for home use, in the home of a Muslim; there is no harm in making them for that purpose, based on or adhering to the hadith of A'ishah. However, manufacturing them, trading in them, and spreading them in the homes of Muslims, especially if their manufacture imitates the disbelievers, their tastes, their customs, and their traditions, is undoubtedly one of the most severe prohibitions in Islam. Therefore, it is not permissible for a believer who believes in Allah and His Messenger to work in such a company.
