What is the ruling on tajwid when reciting the Qur'an?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : Well, Shaykh, regarding recitation without tajwid, especially if one wants to read his daily portion or wants to review, is tajwid obligatory in recitation or not?

The Shaykh : Tajwid, my brother, is in tajwid and in tartil. As we all know, tajwid means, for example, ghunnah, ikhfa, and izhar. This is possible even if one hastens; it is not permissible to turn izhar into iqlab, or iqlab into idgham, or the like, whether you recite it as Ibn Mas'ud did in some narrations, like this poetry, or you recite it as Allah the Exalted said in the Qur'an:
and recite the Qur'an with measured recitation. ورتل القرآن ترتيلا
[Al-Muzzammil 73:4]
This must be preserved.

The questioner : The point is without ghunnah or without madd, in order to be fast so that he can review.

The Shaykh : No, the madd, the connected madd is six, and its minimum is four, so four is necessary. Yes, the natural madd is two movements, and it is not permissible to make it one movement for the sake of haste, and so on.
