What is the ruling on one who performed the sa'y between al-Safa and al-Marwah fourteen times while ignorant?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : Yes.

The questioner : Peace be upon you.

The Shaykh : Peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah.

The questioner : How are you, Shaykh?

The Shaykh : Praise be to Allah.

The questioner : Our Shaykh! We have a daughter with us who came for the 'Umrah. She performed the tawaf between al-Safa and al-Marwah. Now she is speaking with us and telling me: I performed fourteen rounds! I counted every back-and-forth as one round. What is the ruling on this?

The Shaykh : That is a mistake... a mistake.

The questioner : A mistake?

The Shaykh : She exhausted herself for nothing!

The questioner : For nothing? Okay, are seven counted for her and the rest is extra, or is none of it counted, or what?

The Shaykh : No, it is counted. Seven are counted, and seven were wasted effort.

The questioner : May Allah reward you with good.

The Shaykh : And you likewise.
