Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : Glory be to Allah! This same question relies on the one you asked me before; regarding the:
No staying up late after 'Isha' لاَ سَمَرَ بَعْدَ الْعِشَاءِ
; which is: -of course, the person- the reasons that were permitted for staying up late, if they were the cause that he missed or lost the time of the prayer, the Fajr prayer of course, does he commit a sin?

The Shaykh : All of it is sin.

The questioner : All of it is sin; meaning, he should not exaggerate in these three matters?

The Shaykh : Yes! Yes.

The questioner : Yes, okay -now- does he repeat the prayer in this state or does he not repeat it?

The Shaykh : No, he does not repeat it.

The questioner : Is it sufficient that he repents?

The Shaykh : He repents to Allah from his crime and his sin.

The questioner : Yes, but here, the fact that he -meaning- did not commit a violation!

The Shaykh : No! Did he not take the prayer out of its time?

The questioner : Correct, but it was the cause that the guest, meaning, led him to staying up late.

The Shaykh : This is a non-Shari'ah cause.

The questioner : Yes, and likewise the wife, and likewise studying knowledge?

The Shaykh : Yes! Yes.

The questioner : As for if we move a little away -meaning- from these three matters we mentioned, they are mentioned in the text of the hadith that he prohibited staying up late except in these three.

The Shaykh : Yes! Yes.

The questioner : Meaning, no staying up late except in three; he said this about them.

The Shaykh : Yes! Yes.

The questioner : Peace be upon you.

The Shaykh : And upon you be peace, and the mercy of Allah and His blessings.
[Sound of a phone ringing].

The Shaykh : Yes.

The questioner : Peace be upon you.

The Shaykh : And peace be upon you.

The questioner : How are you, our Shaykh?
